STI Risks Are Different

There are things you can do to keep yourself safe from HIV but will still leave you at risk for other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, herpes, and HPV. That’s because in addition to being spread through oral, anal, and vaginal sex, some STIs can also be spread through skin-to-skin genital contact.
